Hey ya’ll! Check out some of my new products (and a few old favorites). Available now in my Etsy shop! And my fabrics are still available via Canvas Etc.

My Fabric is Real!

If you get my quarterly newsletter this may not be new news to you. But for everyone else, I have an exciting announcement: I have fabric! This has been a long-time dream of mine to be able to offer my designs on fabric and it is finally here! There are currently 50+ designs, in multiple colorways and 20 different types of fabric to choose from. More designs are added regularly so be sure to come back often.

I am partnering with a sister company of Canwil Textiles called Canvas ETC. They are a U.S-based, minority woman-owned company, that has served as a wholesaler to many businesses since 2002 and now is offering retail services catering to makers and crafters.

They are based in Auburn, GA with their facility for printing in India, where they adhere to high environmental standards in reducing waste and lowering carbon footprint. They also offer cut and sew services which are realized in Blue Ridge, GA so they can help you complete your individual projects, all made in the U.S.

If you have questions about anything you see on the site, just let me, or Canvas ETC, know and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request; and if you love a design that you don’t see on their site, just let me know and I’ll do my best to make that available for you.

Thanks for your support and I look forward to seeing what you do with these new fabrics!

Latest Guildery Collection - Beaufort

On the heels of yesterday's CountryLiving feature, I have more Guildery news.

It's blue and green forever!  Two of my all time favorite colors together in my latest collection Beaufort. I hope you enjoy all the new items that are now available on Guildery.com. You can always search KATJA and you'll find all of my collections in one spot! They recently added some new products such as wrapping paper and table linens. I ordered some paper for the holidays and it is GREAT quality. Go there and get thee some and enjoy!

Country Living Jan 2016 Feature

Woo wee!  I just learned one of my designs (available on Guildery.com) was featured in the Jan/Feb 2016 Country Living Magazine. Pretty cool I say! I also used the same design (as a runner) up in Sonoma on my friend's table.

My Static design, here in Reverse Skin, is available on Guildery.com. There is a wide variety of colors and fabrics to choose from.

Strike Away Show a Success

The Strike Away show at Paxton Gate Kids is over, and it was a big success with over 100 pieces sold (still waiting to hear if mine was one of those). But in the meantime, some pretty cool articles popped up about it.

Check them out on SF Art Enthusiast and Jealous Curator

Katja Designs on Guildery.com

Hello Friends! I'm so excited to announce that two of my collections have launched on Guildery.com. The first one, Santorini, has a laid-back, beachy vibe. If you can't afford a ticket to Greece, I say cuddle up on the couch with an array of pillows that emulate the azure waves of the Mediterranean, like these!

The second collection Ballari, takes you to India with dusty tones and a boho, block-printed vibe. Check out some of the coral, turquoise and brown hues I've dreamed up for my home. I'm just imagining the possibilities!

Strikeaway Show

Do you like art? How about tiny art? How about art the size of a matchbox? If you said yes to any of those questions, then come out and enjoy some tiny matchbox art at Paxton Gate Curiosities for Kids tonight from 6:00-9:00. I have a piece in the show and so do my talented friends over at Falconette. Hope to see you there! (And if you can't make the opening, the show runs til June 20th).

Print & Pattern Blog Feature

I have a such hard time with self promotion—egad, it really is never easy to toot your own horn. But I have found that it is essential to know how to present and exert yourself in this industry. Self promotion is not a bad thing. It's about getting your name out there, showing what you can do and how you can be of service to others. I have submitted my work to numerous outlets in the hopes of expanding awareness of my brand and voice. It's a lot of work getting people to know who you are and what you can do. I'm making all of this work that I'm completely passionate about and I don't want to hide it away. I want to share it with the world!

It's a wonderful feeling when you get little breakthroughs and today was a great one for me. I was thrilled to find out that I was featured on the Print & Pattern Blog. I appreciate any exposure and am happy to be amongst other creative people who share a common love for prints and patterns. Click image below to see the full article and all designs featured.

Cheers to all you creative folks out there. Keep doing what you do and please make sure to share it with the rest of us!
