Hello, I’m Katja.

European by birth, Californian by nature. I've spent much of my life between the two, and both have shaped the way I see the world. From the colors of a California sunset, embroidery on a German dirndl or the Marimekko bag I carried as a teen in Finland—I have always been attracted to pattern and color.

I create designs that bring together that European sensibility, Scandinavian restraint and the warmth and optimism of California.

I currently live in San Francisco with my big cat Bear, and spend as much time as I can traveling, exploring and discovering new inspiration.
